As a Powerplant Team Lead in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, you will be responsible to manage a team of Powerplant Engineers and to ensure all CAMO activities are duly carried out in accordance with the latest regulatory requirements and company procedures. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus' ambition by Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus' ambition by ensuring the engines meet both Regulatory requirements and OEM standards to achieve the highest possible dispatch reliability for the aircraft engines and reducing flight cancellations.Your responsibilities as a Powerplant Team Lead will include:Day to day supervision of the Powerplant team to ensure continuing airworthiness of the Aer Lingus powerplant fleet.Responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of Aer Lingus owned and leased engines, APUs and nacelles.Ensure the following activities are carried out IAW Aer Lingus Part M and Part CAMO regulations, Aer Lingus CAME, AMP and internal processes, and OEM instructions for continuous airworthiness.Evaluation of mandatory maintenance requirements e.g. ADs, ETOPs, etc.Evaluation of OEM and vendor technical instructions e.g. SBs, VSB, AOW, AOT etc., management of implementation of modifications in accordance with EASA Part 21J (including RFQ, business case, approval process, and implementation).Generation of Engineering Orders in AMOS to accomplish continuing airworthiness requirements.Review of trend data to monitor the health of Engines/APUs and analyse trend shifts/troubleshooting with OEM and third-party service providers.Support Line and Base Maintenance to ensure aircraft serviceability and provide support to other departments in Aer Lingus as necessary (including Materials, Quality, Air Safety, Planning, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Finance).Facilitate the acceptance and return of Aircraft to lessor/airline (through document inspection, physical aircraft/engine inspections, borescope records, LLP status, engine shop visit history, SB status, etc).Note that the Team Lead will also be asked to support a portion of these activities above directly depending on load vs. capacity constraints.Work with the Maintenance Controls Centre (MCC) and Technical Support Engineering (TSE) teams to ensure AOG/work stoppage events are resolved as quickly as possible to maximize aircraft availability, reduce operational disruptions and assure safety and reliability of Aer Lingus operation.Ensure a culture of continuous safety and compliance, including timely and effective resolution of all non-conformances and reporting of hazards via the Safety Management System, including self-reporting.Provide coaching and support to the Powerplant Engineers and graduate engineers; proactively identify training opportunities to ensure the team's knowledge is fresh, thorough to ensure excellent performance; communicate a clear vision for the team.Your qualifications and key criteria We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:University Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or B1 Licensed Engineer.At least 4 years of relevant Power Plant experience in Airlines, MRO, or Engine OEMs in technical departments.Strong communications and leadership skills.Strong technical competency in high-bypass turbofan engines or APU.Ability to read, write and fluently speak the English language.Process optimization and change management.Experience in leading teams successfully.Strong experience in CAMO related activities on powerplant, nacelle and APU.Familiarity with AMOS system.Familiarity with CF6-80E, CFM56-5B and Leap-1A engines.Eligible to live and work in the EU.Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.Closing Date: 14th of MayAt Aer Lingus, we embrace diversity and believe in providing equal opportunities to all qualified individuals.
