How you will make an impact: Design solutions for Windchill business data model configuration and customization with Info*Engine components, web services, business rules, and UI.
Utilize expertise and hands-on experience in Windchill configuration extensions and customizations using Windchill modules PDMLink, PartsLink, MPMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, Windchill Quality Solutions and ThingWorx Navigate to design and implement PLM business solutions.
Setup and configure integration between Windchill PLM to ERP (JDE) with Windchill ESI layer and TIBCO Middleware platform and develop Web Services using RESTFul APIs.
Perform system upgrades, configure and tests systems to execute features, integration, and reporting.
Stays informed about technical innovation by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
Lead project development teams through execution of best practices in software development, mentoring other team members, and ensuring that project deliverables are consistent with architecture, quality, security policies.
Lead efforts to determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Achieve business and technical objectives and schedule by designing, coding, implementing, testing, and supporting technical application solutions.
Coordinate and execute unit and system level automated and or manual test plans and documentation of results.
Translate PLM business requirements into functional, technical requirements, solution design, and development.
Partner with the team of internal PLM Functional and Technical architects to configure/customize the Windchill PLM system as per business & functional requirements.
Support integration of data from PLM to ERP, SQMS and MDM, working closely with other enterprise systems and business stakeholders.
Mentor developers and consultants on designing and implementing the better solution working around the technical feasibility.
Create application deployment packages for deployments by application vendors or inhouse teams.
Set up and manage DevOps framework for future deployments.
Effort estimation of user stories, providing demonstrations for implementation.
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on complex issues.
Determine and lead the design of system specifications, standards, and programming.
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommend changes and formulate alternative solutions in policies and procedures.
What you'll need (Required): Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field + 8 years of solid performance in a role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations.
What else we look for (Preferred): 5-7 years of experience in PTC Windchill (v12.1 or above) and it's supporting applications installation, administration, configurations, and customization.
Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill core module: PDMLink, PartsLink, MPMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, Windchill Component and Supplier Management (SUMA) configuration and customizations.
Knowledge of Windchill Architecture, database, setting up change management workflows, user management, xBOM management, BOM transformation, Platform Structures, Variant configuration, Manufacturing Process Plans, Supplier Management.
Hands-on experience with CAD Data Management (Creo, SolidWorks and Altium) and Integrations
Understanding of design structures, product structure, product configuration, and manufacturing processes.
Hands-on customization experience using Windchill/Java Client Architecture (WCA/JCA).
Experience in a multi workstream development environment using DevOps CI/CD tools and methodologies. Knowledge in GitLab.
Experience with Windchill Bulk migrator to stage & migrate data.
PTC ThingWorx Implementation knowledge
PTC Windchill certifications
Relevant industry experience (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments/corporate.
Technical Skills: Java, JSP, Java Script, XML, JSON, SQL, PL/SQL, Info*Engine Web Services, SOAP/RESTful Web Services, Ajax, Database tuning, Git.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Need to be able to clearly communicate expectations to the team as well as report on progress in a clear and concise manner.
