About the role At Mercadona Tech, the Processes department is in charge of the design and implementation of the Mercadona Online Logistics Chain, as well as the continuous improvement of our processes, from the supply of goods coming from the warehouses, until we deliver the orders to our end customer.
We have software teams working on our logistics tools, so each process engineer works with the engineering, product and design departments to devise and implement the best digital tools that allow us to manage resources efficiently. Being a Process Engineer at Mercadona Tech At Mercadona Tech, we are looking for a profile from the world of operations and process improvement specialized in picking systems for warehouses. This position will face the challenge of managing the different processes we have in our online order picking warehouses.
We offer a very dynamic position in which you will be able to give structure to the processes of preparation, consolidation and dispatch of orders from an integral perspective, taking into account the needs of the online sales model and going through the functionalities at a technological level. It is a face-to-face position, and will be located in our Hive in Valencia. However, one of the responsibilities of this role are the field tasks, so you will have to travel regularly to other hives (Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante and Seville). About You For this position we are looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience defining and implementing logistics solutions specializing in order picking for warehouses. You will also need to be comfortable communicating in English.
In addition, you must possess a series of key qualities to effectively perform your functions: Specific technical knowledge (understanding the different online order picking systems), strategic thinking (being able to optimize processes), analytical skills, communication skills, leadership and focus on results. What you already bring to the table High knowledge of Excel and database operation; SQL is an asset. Experience in automatic systems is highly valued. High level of English You must be willing to work in a team to solve common objectives. You must be responsible and prudent with your part of the assembly line. You are willing to learn new skills and be proactive to changes. A background in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Organization Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering is a plus.
