InstitutionALBA OverviewInstitutionALBA is the Spanish synchrotron light source, a large research infrastructure operating ten beamlines, complementary facilities, and an Electron Microscopy Center. Currently constructing multiple more beamlines, expanding the Electron Microscopy Center, and integrating advanced data analytics, it sums up a wide range of infrastructures geared toward finding solutions to societal challenges.Located in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain), it is funded by the Spanish Government (Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación) and the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya, Departament de Recerca i Universitats). The Project engineer is responsible for the 3D files obtained as output of the design, including assemblies and FEM. It is also the spokesperson in the different design review meetings.Supervision and approval of the manufacturing documentation (2D drawings) produced by the draft-man at the transversal section.Follow-up of the manufacturing process (requestor of purchase orders, contracts, and preparation/follow-up of call for tenders if necessary). Follow-up of the in-house manufacturing.Test and validation of the manufactured devices/systems. Acceptance test reports and mechanical metrology.Support to other groups and divisions (experiments division and accelerators division) on the development of mechanical devices and systems.RequirementsThe candidates must hold a degree in Industrial Engineering in the specialty of mechanics, as well as a related master's degree.The candidates should have good oral/written English communication skills.
