As IT development project manager and software architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping projects related to the evolution, transformation, or creation of applications and systems within the IT Spain Cluster. Here is a description of your responsibilities and the expectations for this role:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Project Leadership: Take the lead on IT software development projects, fostering and supporting innovation while consistently seeking standardized, optimal and industrialized solutions.Project Delivery: Ensure that projects are executed with the necessary service level, adhering to scope, schedule and budget constraints.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather and define software requeriments effectively.Architectural Guidance: Provide the development team with architectural blueprints and guidelines to follow during the software development process.Solution Design: Evaluate, identify and design high-level software solutions that align with project objectives. Team Oversight: Oversee, supervise and guide the work of development team to ensure project goals are met.Problem Solving: Identify and direct solutions for critical challenges related to software and hardware integrations.Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve coding or design as they arise during the development and maintenance process.Reporting and Goal Setting: Present regular progress reports to stakeholders and establish clear project goals.Quality Assurance: Conduct through testing of the final product to ensure it functions correctly and meetss internal customer requirements. Change Impact Analysis: Undertand the architecture of software applications to estimate the impact of change request accurately.POSITION SCOPE: The scope of these projects will be linked to the IT Spain Cluster Industrial Applications, which  includes 5 sites: Asturias, Sagunto, Etxebarri, Sestao and Lesaka.
TECHNOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS: You will need to work with a range of technologies, including both "new" and "legacy" ones, such as Angular, .NET Core, REST services, SSIS, SQL Server, Winforms, Visual Basic, Cobol, DB2 and CICS Transtaction Gateway.
LOCATION: The primary workplace will be in Asturias, Spain, with possible locations in Aviles or Gijon.
COLLABORATION: You will collaborate closely with other IT teams, both at the regional and group level, as well as infrastructure and process automation teams. Your goals will include ensuring compliance with Group Standards and policies, providing business with innovative yet stable and cost-effective solutions, and integrating new technologies and industry best practices.
FLEXIBILITY: In certain situations, you may be required to be part of a "guard duty" team to support service continuity.

Other Desired Requirements Training or Certification in Project Management: Possession of recognized project management certifications or completion of training programs offered by institutions like PMI (Project Management Institute) or other relevant organizations. Certification or training in PMO (Project Management Office) methodologies can be a strong asset.Creative Problem Solver: Ability to think creatively and outside the box to provide innovative solutions, with a focus on continually improving delivery processes, reducing end-user incidents, and enhancing end-user satisfaction.Stress Resilience: Demonstrated ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations, ensuring that projects stay on track even under challenging circumstances.Goal-Oriented: Strong commitment to setting and achieving project goals, with a proactive approach to project planning and execution.Excellent Social Skills: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and teams from different countries and areas.Innovation Mindset: A spirit of innovation, constantly seeking opportunities to introduce new and improved practices, technologies, or methodologies to enhance project outcomes.Proficient Communication: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication is expected, as the role involves close collaboration with local and remote teams from various countries and regions.Including training or certification in Project Management highlights the candidate's commitment to professional development and adherence to industry-standard project management practices, which can further enhance their qualifications for the role.Other Minimum Requirements  5+ Years of Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, where you have acted as both a project manager and software architect.Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project management, including responsibility for demand management, resource allocation, project follow-up, and comprehensive reporting on project progress.Software Architecture: Proven expertise in software architecture, involving the definition of efficient and cost-effective technical solutions that align with project requirements. This includes a thorough analysis of application technical designs, specifications, and architecture, as well as hands-on involvement in software coding and refactoring.Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills are essential. The role will involve leading a team comprising both ArcelorMittal internal employees and subcontractors.Change Management: Proficiency in change management is crucial, as the successful adoption of projects by end-users is a critical success factor. Experience in implementing effective change management strategies is highly desirable.Valid Work and Residence Permit: A valid work and residence permit for Spain is a prerequisite, as the role is based in Asturias, Spain. A full proficiency in Spanish and English.
