With reference to our General Manager Jens Lundin, you'll integrate into our strong team, contributing to the success of our operations. This pivotal role is based in Algeciras, Spain.
Your Role as a Purchasing Manager
As our new Purchasing Manager, you will be the linchpin in achieving the overarching goals of our procurement team. Your proactive approach and strategic mindset will be crucial in steering our procurement efforts towards excellence.
We expect you to be the key player in vendor contact and negotiation, creating value through competitive order fulfillment and error-free deliveries.
More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to: Lead the team of four people to ensure timely response to customer requests, and obtain quotes for non-stock goodsExecute BTS orders as per trade agreements (negotiated by regional/global category managers), incl. invoice clearing, return goods, etc.Ensure that stock items are available on time, in the appropriate quantity & quality and at the negotiated priceThoroughly understand customer preferences, translating customer codes to Wrist codesProvide timely and complete order confirmation in collaboration with SalesCoordinate with relevant departments to ensure all items are available for timely deliveryDevelop and maintain local vendor relationshipsManage the invoice approval processPersonality matters
As a person, you are trustworthy, resilient, and possess a high level of business acumen to generate tangible value for the customers and Wrist.
Qualifications & requirements
Preferably, you have an educational background within Business, Procurement or Supply Chain at minimum on bachelor level with at least 2 years of demonstrated procurement or vendor management experience. It will be an advantage if you have experience in ship supply, but not a requirement.
