Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:The main purpose of Accounting and Tax Department is to manage and monitor the accounting ledger in accordance with local GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles) and IFRS (International Accounting Standards). It also involves managing differences between IRFS and Spanish local GAAP. Accounting plays an active role in partnering with Global Shared Service Centre (GBS), local Finance and other clients (internal and external)Key Responsibilities:Ensure proper IFRS accounting according to adidas group accounting policies and identify local GAAP difference to prepare statutory financial statements. Collaborate in maintaining corporate governance and legal compliance. Ensure balance sheet ownership and SAP Key User (Accounting). Acting as an advisor to management on process excellence, scalability, and stronger assurance on critical projects with any accounting impact. Manage external audits to ensure compliance to local regulations and legislation. As market accounting functional expert supports the communication between Market and GBS OrganizationPrepare Treasury forecast, follow up Treasury performance and propose corrective measures to protect cash. Manage daily relationship with banks: manual payments, checks and any other administrative task in dealing with banks. Manage ARIBA purchase orders within Acounting & Tax department. Fill up official surveys and any statistical information to Government and Authorities. KPI's- Balance sheet correctness. - Accuracy in the Treasury forecast. - Quality feedback provided to business partners. - Meet deadlines.
