We are seeking one motivated postdoctoral fellow with background in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering to develop a microfluidic electroporation unit to load exosomes with therapeutic agents. The selected candidate will join the laboratory of Dr. Jesús Santamaría at the Nanostructured Films and Particles (NFP) Research Group, at the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA), University of Zaragoza - Aragón Institute for Health research (IIS Aragón). This position is funded by a HORIZON-ERC-POC call. The NFP group focus is in combining nanomaterials and exosome-based therapies to defeat cancer and infectious diseases. The NFP group comprises 21 researchers and 19 PhD students with a very diverse backgrounds (chemical and biomedical) which allows us to develop a multidisciplinary research, with the application of emerging materials in medicine. The selected candidate will investigate innovative solutions to purificate exosomes, based on tangential filtration and microfluidic systems and new strategies to load nanoparticles inside the vesicles.INMA is a top institute with advanced characterization facilities as the Advanced Microscopy Laboratory (LMA) a singular infrastructure (ICTS), including instruments for characterization (XPS, VSM, IR, Fluorescence, AFM) and especially several state-of-the-art electron microscopy facilities (SEM, TEM, Titan). The NFP group is also part of the CIBER-BBN (Biomedical Networking Research Centre on Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine). The NANBIOSIS platform CIBER-BBN provides a wide range of services, including advanced bioimaging for real-time monitoring of tumor metabolism. Additionally,IIS Aragón is integrated in the Biomedical Research Centre (CIBA), where facilities are available to us, including genomics, proteomics, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, pathological anatomy services animal facilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
