Position Overview:The Head of Production position will oversee the in-house film production teams in British Columbia from prep through to delivery. Overseeing all Producers, this position will work closely with Business Affairs, key movie department heads, Creative Executive Producers, Casting Directors, movie Creative Associates, Distribution Executives, and Accountants to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, on time, and within budget.. Main Responsibilities:Manage Producers, Creative Producers and Line Producers providing leadership, collaboration and guidance to all project personnel.. Assist with training and mentoring of staff across all productions.. Aid production in the recruitment of qualified staff for each production.. Support Casting Director by providing timely approval of casting breakdowns, roles and deal negotiation points.. Prepare production schedules and budgets for review.. Manage and assess schedules and cost reports.. Provide pre-production notes to Creative Producers and Senior Vice President of Production.. Conduct investigations into crew or cast related grievances.. Liaise with Business Affairs and Legal on corporate policy, Finance and legal matters.. Communicate with post-production to ensure edits have all required Production elements.. Attend all key pre-production meetings such as:locations, Actra, and Production Design.. Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate concessions where and when appropriate..
