The candidate will be part of the worldwideRisk & Controlsteam, focusing on drivingcontrolimprovement and complianceintheLATAMregion.Objectivesof theRisk & Controlfunctioninclude:Reinforce the tone at the top and in the middle as well as promote the culture ofethics andintegrity;Build and leverage relationships to identify risks, anticipate issues and recommendsolutions;Support management to structure long term beneficial relationships with clients and partners in a way that is compliant, risk aware andadaptable;Embrace technology and innovation tooptimise risk & controls activities and increase level of compliance across thebusiness;Provide customised, reliable information oncontrolperformance that could impact strategy realisation.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Promote and help embed the culture ofethics and integrityacross the region through training, support and advising onrelevanttopics such as anti-bribery and corruption, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) as well as internal policy requirements. Serve asa risk & controlssubject matter expert within the business.Engage with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.Set regional standards (where applicable and in line with global instruction), reinforce WPP & GroupM policies, control requirements and communicate updates / changes to the businessin a clear and concise manner.Focus on risk areas in the business within theRisk & Controlremit (based on the risk assessment as agreed with key stakeholders).Think strategically about our business, review operational processes andproceduresand suggest improvements.Assist in making sure new acquisitions meet compliance standards within required deadlines.Recruit, train,developand lead theregionalRisk & Control and marketteamas required.Coordinate audit activities for the region, liaising with internal and external audit teams.Monitor remediation for all source of assurance (SOX, WPP IA), summarise progress to the GlobalRisk & Controls Directorand Regional management.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement while adapting to the new and evolving challenges and opportunities.Provide input into GroupM global processes,guidanceand tools (e.g.ICFRhandbook, Gift& HospitalityRegister).Promote the adoption of Compliance processes and tools by the markets. Provide necessary support.Coordinate / oversee completion ofRisk & Controls activities.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:ACA/CA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of10+ years of post-qualification experience(industry or consulting experience in ethics and compliance, business processimprovement, risk management,or internal audit)ata multinationalcompany;Abilityto apply a structured approach towards balancing multiple demands and prioritiesin a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally with multiple geographies, functions, and employees of diversebackgrounds;Ability to operate effectively with all stakeholders including senior management.Effective interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a collaborative team-oriented problem solvingapproach;Excellent verbal and writtencommunication;Strong analytical capabilities and attention todetail;Experience in media and advertising with proven knowledge of core business processes is aplus;Fluency inSpanishisrequired, Portuguese is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
