Global Travel Program Objectives The Schneider Global Travel Program develops strategic direction and operational support by setting policy, monitoring compliance, establishing cost controls, mitigating risk, driving efficiency and quality through the management of several program components and in collaboration with global procurement to govern travel supplier relationships and our global digital team to integrate best in class travel booking technology solutions to support our business needs. All functions and locations globally operate under a Global Travel Policy and the operational framework provided by the Global Travel Office. The travel program supports the needs of over 100,000 travelers and represents over $200 million dollars in global travel spend, split regionally across 78 countries.
The EMEA Regional Travel Manager belongs to a team of 4 Regional Travel Managers that oversee day to day Travel program operations, specifically the operational relationship with our global travel agency partner and service locations in North America, LATAM, Europe and Asia Pacific. The EMEA Regional Travel Manager position interfaces with our Digital team supporting online travel booking tools and our procurement, security, HR, and finance teams to support all levels of Schneider Electric employees, including VIP services, to understand the business needs and translates those needs to optimize and deliver for best business travel services by region. This position, based in EMEA will co-manage regional relationships with agency, airline, hotel, rail, car rental, corporate card and booking technology suppliers and serve as the subject matter expert for all regional travel-related operational processes online and offline.
Key Responsabilités Day to Day EMEA regional business travel program operations and administration in alignment with other regional team members globally.Provide support to the needs of travelers and travel administrators and key country stakeholders and guidance for the EMEA Region on the SE global travel policy and regional travel policy and the booking processes and workflows End to End from booking through expense reimbursement.Implement the policy controls and exceptions throughout the business travel booking process with the support of the preferred travel management company and in alignment with the online booking tools implemented globally.Oversight of our preferred global travel management company and site administration of the online travel booking solution to increase utilization in the EMEA Region.Implement strategic business travel initiatives that will result in increased traveler satisfaction, cost savings, policy compliance, productivity, meet sustainability goals and provide for the security of SE travelers in the EMEA region, aligned with global goals and policiesKeep abreast of EMEA Regional developments in the travel industry and assess travel processes, tools, integrated technology, and policies that will strengthen the travel program and enhance traveler experienceServe as the Travel Management business owner and subject matter expert in the EMEA Region to the SE Procurement, Digital, Finance, HR and Finance management team and collaborate to co-execute and implement global sourcing strategies, booking compliance controls/processes and mitigate traveler risk.Monitor travel supplier service delivery and KPI performance and ensure that SE travel suppliers operate per contractual obligations, SLAs, reporting requirements, and in compliance to policy in collaboration with Procurement in the EMEA RegionPromote and educate the use of preferred suppliers, global corporate card program, online booking tools/adoption, and the use of the global travel website and other educational and communication resourcesPartner cross-functionally globally and in the EMEA Region to ensure alignment of objectives between transient, group travel, guest, and mobility travel programs.Serve as an extended member of the crisis action team and work collaboratively with Global Security team to ensure security processes and tools are integrated into the SE travel program. As such, after hours activities may be required during a crisis or emergency.Develop travel metrics and reporting to measure travel management practices, trends, and compliance to policy in the EMEA RegionDeliver standardized reporting and ad hoc analysis from a variety of sources as neededIntegrate newly acquired businesses into the SE travel program in the EMEA Region Qualifications & Experience Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience Concentration in travel/hospitality management, business administration, procurement, or financeA minimum of 5+ years of Corporate travel industry knowledge, business travel management and experience using benchmark data to drive program improvements in the EMEA Region, including Country nuances.Success in deploying travel technology (preferably Concur travel) processes, and policies in the EMEA Region and by EMEA CountriesFamiliar with EMEA geographical challenges of travel arrangements and service configurationStrong understanding of the integration and workflow surrounding data sources such as corporate cards, reservation systems, and expense dataSelf-starter with a high level of confidence and the ability to motivate and influence others without having a direct line of authorityAbility to build and maintain relationships with peers and across multiple functions and reporting structuresExcellent communication skills with ability to effectively sell the travel program's value propositionProven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects and competing priorities with a sense of urgency and enthusiasmAbility to establish and drive strategic initiatives using relevant metricsFluent in English.
