.Extenteam is looking for a Remote Operational Accountant / Admin Specialist to join our growing organization and undertake the following tasks:As an Operational Accountant / Admin Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property accounting for a Short Term Rental company portfolio, owner statements, maintenance fees, and entering receipts. You will take the lead on all accounting tasks for the company and serve as a crucial point of communication between the company, guests, and owners for expense and deposit-related queries.In this role, you will be working closely with company leadership to set up and maintain financial stability for the organization, as well as fulfilling administrative tasks to assist the CEO with day-to-day operations.Responsibilities Include:- Prepare monthly owner statements, accurately reflecting rental income and expense allocations- Calculate and collect maintenance fees from owners, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely payments- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions- Enter receipts, invoices, and other financial documents into the accounting system- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, ensuring accuracy of all financial data- Prepare financial reports and provide analysis on a regular basis to support decision-making processes- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely communication of financial information- Respond to guest and owner inquiries related to expenses, deposits, and accounting processes, providing clear and concise explanations- Proactively identify and address any potential or existing financial discrepancies or irregularities- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in property accountingFinancial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties within the portfolio using Quickbooks accounting software.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Expense Management: Process and record property-related expenses, including property taxes, insurance, utilities, and maintenance costs.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the creation and management of property budgets, as well as provide financial data for property performance.Reconciliation: Perform bank account and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial data.Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, industry regulations, and company policies.Foundational Requirements:Excellent written and verbal English skills. No exceptions. This position will be communicating via phone, text, and email. 5 of 5 on all assessments.Previous experience in guest services, reservations, or a related field.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
