Read more about being an Application Engineer at RTI here!Responsibilities:Engage with our customers to provide technical guidance, assistance, and prototype proof-of-concept projectsProvide onsite and/or remote technical training, configuration/code review, architecture and design guidance, debugging of complex distributed systems and more.Triage customer issues both onsite and remotely, and find timely solutions.Work with our development team and Product Management to help improve our products.Ensure customer success with RTI technology.Skills & Experience:Degree in Computer Science, EE/CE, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).5+ years of work experience.Solid understanding of operating system and networking fundamentals.Experience writing and debugging code.Excellent debugging skills in a wide variety of technologies, networking protocols, operating systems and programming languages.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Positive, proactive, and results oriented - great at solving problems.Exceptional team player who collaborates well and can also work independently in a deadline driven environment.Interested in working directly with customers to ensure their success.Intellectually curious with a desire and ability to master new technologies.Ability to work successfully in a highly distributed team.Must be able to travel to work onsite with our customers.Nice to have:Experience with DDS.Experience with distributed systems.Experience with RTOS's.Experience with messaging technologies (e.G.
