We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer who is looking to make the transition from coding as a full time role, into a technical leadership position. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems and infrastructure of our BI & AI as well as our Machine Learning software applications and systems. The Senior Backend Developer is a key member of the Sports team and will contribute to the overall success of the company by building robust and efficient backend solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable software products and drive innovation in our technology stack. What you'll be getting up to: Working across a number of business areas providing development, maintenance and support. Working as part of a team and occasionally working solo on development pieces of work as the business needs arise. Take ownership for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects.Collaborate with other engineers and leaders across the company and ensure all our tools have the expected impact. Design and implement tools that help engineering teams focus on shipping features, while making sure we're building infrastructure that is cost efficient, secure and reliable. Contribute significant ideas for making the applications user friendly. Participate in cutting edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. R equirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field. 5+ years of relevant work experience Excellent command of the English language - Written & Spoken. Expert knowledge of Java, Golang, Rust (At Least two) and open source software (e.g. Spring). Advanced knowledge of SQL, preferably with Oracle databases and Postgresql Experience working with API's microservices and data manipulation. Distributed caching (Hazelcast or Redis). Knowledge of Asynchronous Messaging (Pubsub, Kafka, RabbitMQ or JMS).Experience developing back office trading tools using GWT/Vaadin, SWT, Swing or JavaFX. Demonstrable knowledge of Maven and Linux. Experience building highly transactional, high volume distributed applications. Knowledge of JVM monitoring and performance tuning Java applications, as well as troubleshooting issues in production The team is a full stack team and the core skills are Java, Go (Golang), Python, C# and Typescript or Javascript. Experience with Cloud IaaS and DevOps Platforms like Terraform, Automation, or equivalent technology.
