We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Network Engineer to manage projects for one of our most important clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto technologies.
Additionally, proficiency in Azure cloud networking and Virtual WAN is crucial for this role. The Senior Cloud Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-based network environment.
Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage network architecture utilizing Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto technologies.Implement and maintain Azure cloud networking solutions, including Virtual WAN configurations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable and secure network solutions.Configure and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and low latency.Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPN configurations.Monitor network traffic and performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and security threats.Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on operations.Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge transfer.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance network infrastructure.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud-based environments.Strong proficiency in Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto networking technologies.Extensive experience with Azure cloud networking and Virtual WAN configurations.Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).Hands-on experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex network issues and implement effective solutions.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Azure certifications) preferred.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Fluent in English, written and spokenWe prefer someone located in Mallorca (or willing to relocate) who can combine in-office work with several days of remote work, but we can also consider the possibility of hiring someone willing to work 100% remotely from anywhere in SpainWhat we offer: Remote working and flexible working hours policyOpportunity to work in a friendly yet demanding environment, gaining valuable knowledge about communication technology and services for maritime and cruise applications.Membership in a dynamic team dedicated to improving customer service and ensuring employee satisfaction.Continuous training and growth opportunities as the company expands.Inclusion in an international team with diverse backgrounds, fostering appreciation for diversity.
