The group of professionals working in ARATECH's mission is to offer the best solutions to our clients, working together with them in their Digital our clients, working together with them in their Digital Transformation to provide the best advice and establish close advice by establishing a close collaboration.Who are we working with?We are currently working with a growing multinational insurance company with locations in Europe, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia and Jamaica that is developing transformative technology focused on natural disaster insurance and is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to understand the technical and scientific details of catastrophe modelling.What will your day to day tasks be?Support sales team by creating visualizations and data summaries from proprietary data sources.Run internal models up on request for new geographies of different parameterizations.Support underwriting team to perform extreme value analysis on historical data.Participate in development of new mathematical and remote sensing models.Work side by side with the Chief Scientist Officer to create a better understanding of the model outputs using Matplotlib/Numpy/Scipy. You will become a data detective.Collaborate with engineering and product development teams and UI/UX teams to come up with the best possible way of presenting data to end consumer.What are we looking for?Python tools: xarray, numpy, Matplotlib, (geo)pandas, scipy, plotly-dash, shapelyR: extreme value analysis, R-studioStrong communication skills (written and oral) in English.in general, packages used in data manipulation and plotting and (Q)GIS in generalProven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst or data miningUnderstanding of machine-learning and operations researchWhat do we value?SQL, QGISExperience with remote sensing data (multi/hyper-spectral, radar/SAR, etc.)Other engineering experiencePrevious experience in insuranceWhat we offer?100% remote first companyFinal contract with the multinational companyIn case needed, well located office space in pragueUnlimited PTORemote setup lump sumHealth insurance benefit#J-18808-Ljbffr
