What You'll DoWe're looking for our first QA Engineer at Mediatonic to help us make the future of Fall Guys a reality! You will work to develop and implement automation test strategies and utilize technical tooling to expand the breadth and depth of our QA coverage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As our first QA Engineer, you will also be helping to shape what the role looks like and help to grow the team, with opportunities to mentor existing QA team members who are keen to expand their technical skills.
In this role, you willWork with QA analysts, QA management, product owners, and other developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, plan test coverage, and, crucially, build tooling and automation to improve efficiency across the teamExamine technical gaps and automation initiatives between geographically distributed teams to deliver the highest quality version of Fall Guys possibleBuild and drive test strategies and test plans to cover multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentUse a mix of technical and manual QA skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across your product to analyze the quality of said product while troubleshooting reported defects and internal issuesReport and track data quality and use that data to drive conversations around product quality and development health, supporting the dev team before, during, and after deploymentsTest communications between the client and backend servicesWhat we're looking for3+ years of professional QA experience in a software or game testing environment1+ years of professional coding experience or Computer Science Bachelor's DegreePrevious experience creating tools or automation using Python, C++, C#, or VerseExperience with root cause analysis of defectsStrong communication skills with the ability to confidently collaborate on technical topics and featuresTechnical understanding of game, mobile or web technologies, including automation, functional, qualitative, and performance against consistently iterative developmentThis role is ONLY open to candidates based in London and Madrid.
