We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!What You'll DoReporting to the project's QA Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a QA team to service several feature pods (a cluster), developing test plans and guiding external QA partners.You will work with both internal and external (offshore) teams to support feature, content or technical development from concept through to launch.Engage and provide feedback as early as the brief / design stages via static testing, highlighting additional test tool / cheat needs, pre-production quality concerns, or similar things alikeLead, mentor, and expand the QA team for your cluster, including hiring, training, and performance evaluationGenerate clear and concise test plans, identifying scope of coverage, accurate estimates, and resourcing needs from conception through to releaseDrive the creation, maintenance and coverage of relevant suites and associated test cases, tailored to your pod's needsLiaise and coordinate with a team of offshore testers, defining and communicating expectations, while monitoring progress and resultsKeep the Cluster leadership team informed on milestone progression, priorities and blockers throughout the development lifecycle. Attend associated pod and QA team ceremonies. Using these as a platform for feedback, while remaining current and informed on team strategy and movementsAssist in the promotion of a 'shift left' attitude. Helping discover and resolve issues as early as possible within the production pipelineWhat We're Looking ForMinimum of 5 years of experience in QA, with at least 3 years in a QA leadership role, preferably within the mobile gaming industry and working with external QA partnersStrong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with experience in automated testing toolsStrong verbal / written communication and an excellent attention to detailExtensive knowledge of JIRA and / or similar bug tracking systemsAn ability to negotiate and ensure you and your team's message is heard.
