col-wideJob Description:**TECNALIA** wants to strengthen the Materials and Processes Area and its activity in the field of Extreme Conditions for that reason, we want to incorporate an enthusiastic **Senior Researcher in Hydrogen, Materials and Processes**.The person to be incorporated will work in applied research projects in the field of materials behavior (especially metallic) in extreme conditions (Hydrogen, Offshore, Oil&Gas, Renewable Energies, etc.).**Task Description**:The successful applicant will:- Operate and set-up of high pressure and temperature laboratory equipment. Equipment operation: High pressure autoclaves, SSRT (autoclaves with dynamic loading), artificial aging chambers, etc.- Set-up and performance of complex and routine tests; specific corrosion, material degradation and compatibility of materials with hydrogen gas and H2S.- Interpretate of internal and customer requirements- Set-up of complex laboratory equipment for high pressure work with gases such as H2, CO2, H2S.- Ensuring compliance of work with ISO 17025 requirements.- Supervise experimental work of laboratory personnel.- Write reports, technical deliverables of projects, as well as national and European R&D proposals.- Project management and identification of customer R&D needs.**What we offer**:- To develop your research career working on forefront projects.- To be part of our technological ecosystem, full of challenges.- Integration in a highly qualified and multidisciplinary team that is a reference at European level.Remuneration according to the experience provided.- Professional development opportunities in a sector with high growth expectations- Education: Materials/Mechanical/Chemical Engineer, Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Sciences or similar.- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of 5+ years working with high pressure equipment.- Motivated and skilled to perform experimental laboratory work.- High knowledge in corrosion, mechanical properties and material behavior in service.- Experience in handling testing standards and knowledge of corrosion regulations, compatibility of materials in aggressive conditions, familiar with corrosion regulations.- Experience in the carrying out of industrial projects and preparation of R&D proposals.- Proficiency in English, at least C1 level or equivalent.**Other valuable aspects**:- PhD in the field of materials- Familiar with material, product specifications.- Knowledge of how to handle and repair laboratory equipment.- Laboratory experience with high pressure hydrogen gas.- Technical skills:- Compatibility of materials with hydrogen.- Corrosion and deterioration of materials- Structural/materials calculation with ANSYS type software- PYTHON programming knowledge and experience
