Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst Are you an energetic professional that wants to be part of Expedia's fastest growing brand? Are you interested in problem solving, handling governance, risk and controls initiatives and sanctions compliance for both Travel Partners and Media (TPM) and Private Label Solutions (PLS)? If that is the case, the B2B (TPM/PLS divisions) Risk and Compliance team is for you.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring effective risk management for B2B mainly by supporting sanctions compliance initiatives in end-to-end operations as well as SOX compliance and occasionally other various business projects. This role establishes high standards for business controls and regulatory compliance oversight through partnering with different Expedia Group teams (e.g. Sales, Enterprise Risk & Security, Legal, SOX compliance) to guide our ongoing business practices.
What you'll do: Acquire a good understanding of our different lines of business' systems and processes to ensure proper sanctions and SOX compliance and propose process improvementsSupport SOX compliance program and control owners to ensure controls are operating effectivelySupport sanctions compliance by identifying, interdicting, calling out, and reporting activity prohibited by sanctions regulation, as requiredEnsure B2B data is adequately screened for sanctions and regulatory requirements of sanctions programs are metWhen needed, suggest remediation plans and actively implement them with product, legal and operational teams for both SOX compliance and sanctions complianceSupport contract compliance ad-hoc tasksParticipate in ad-hoc projectsCoordinate and raise blocking issues to senior management when requiredWork closely with multiple teams and our travel partners Who you are: Bachelor's degree in related fieldA minimum of three years of experience working in global corporate environments with experience in regulatory and/or SOX compliance; risk and controls and related practices.Knowledge of IT controls including data management, technology and systems is a strong plusProfessional "can do" work ethic, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve conflicts.Proactive mindset, enabling future issues to be resolved beforehandPrioritization skills and keep track of tasks at hand to drive them forwardAbility to simplify and solve complex problemsAbility to make and influence decisions using data and good business judgementAbility to partner effectively with team members from diverse functional areas & backgrounds to embed effective practice within the business and build effective working relationshipsAbility to work both independently as a self-starter and also as a team member with positive team spiritReceptive and adaptive to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environmentStrong verbal and written communicationsGood organization skill#LI-AM7
