jobs.allianceresourcegroup.com.">jobs.allianceresourcegroup.com.">Position SummaryThe Federal Sr. Tax Associate is responsible for timely and accurate preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns; monthly, quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740); quarterly estimated tax and extension; and supporting documentation for federal and state audits.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare the federal and state income and franchise tax returns, quarterly estimates and extensions for the consolidated group, including assistance with the annual R&D creditPrepare the company's monthly, quarterly and annual income tax provision computation and tax account reconciliationCorrespond with federal, state and local taxing authorities to resolve tax noticesAssist in gathering information and preparing workpapers necessary for any federal and state auditsPerform tax research, proactively monitor legislative changes and model tax outcomes for analysisPerform other duties as they ariseKnowledge, Skills & QualificationsOneSource income tax compliance software knowledge requiredCheckpoint Tax Research or similar online tax research engine knowledge preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint) requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate matters effectively with all levels of staff.High standards of accuracy, organization, and attention to detailAble to multi-task and meet deadlinesExceptional analytical skillsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or Taxation is requiredCPA requiredMinimum of 3-5 years of corporate tax experience in industry or public accountingERP system experience (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion) preferredMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageTravel RequirementsTypically requires travel 5%-15% of the timeemail: ****** and raised in Connecticut, Dean got his undergraduate degree from University of Connecticut and an MBA from University of Massachusetts.
