Overall Purpose of the RoleAs a key member of the Cluster 2 (Iberia, Italy, TIG, MENA) Enterprise Sourcing team, the Senior Sourcing Specialist role contributes to enabling The Walt Disney Company in EMEA to strategically manage its third-party spend in the assigned territories, supporting to drive the maximal value from this 3rd party spend and relationships."Value" or "Total Value Contribution" includes financial, risk management and the Company's reputation preserving measures, such as compliance with Company standards and policies, compliance with the Company's code of conduct, IP protection, Personal Data Protection, etc.The individual will be part of Disney's Iberia, Italy, TIG and Mena Enterprise Sourcing Division, based in Madrid, SpainThey are going to be involved in sourcing initiatives across a range of spending areas potentially including but not limited to marketing, professional services, facilities, HR services and technology focused primarily on the Italy and Iberia marketsThe Sr. Sourcing Specialist is a key part of a team responsible for implementing the Enterprise Sourcing strategy and policies in Iberia & Italy, being the primary POC for the local Stakeholder (for the assigned categories or stakeholder) and the Regional Category teams.The activities include executing sourcing initiatives, including market assessments, RFP development, bid strategies, supplier negotiation and contract development for assigned projects.This position is also responsible for contributing to the AOP (annual plan) and to the regional category planning.The Sourcing Specialist will conduct demand management analysis, and supplier performance analysis and will be responsible for identifying and capturing cost savings. The Sourcing Specialist will be expected to contribute to the 5-year and annual planning cycles.The Opportunity & Responsibilities:Collaborate with the regional categories to ensure local requirements are addressed within the strategic category plans, as well as to ensure maximum leverage is applied to the local spending, and category strategy is deployed throughout the territories.Interfaces with business teams to design and implement their sourcing and procurement strategies, in alignment with the Company's and Disney EMEA strategies. Develops and implements strategic sourcing arrangements with preferred suppliers.Executes balanced supplier selection metrics that extend beyond the purchase price.Perform supplier selection activities in partnership with appropriate Business Units and other procurement constituents with a high degree of autonomy.Perform external market research and supplier pre-qualification activities.Responsible for developing a deep understanding of Line of Business ("LOB") business and Territory strategies and communicating as appropriate across S&P.Identify opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through the development and review of rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses of key decision criteria (e.G. pricing, performance characteristics, supply chain implications, etc.).Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations.May be given responsibility to coordinate efforts of a virtual team across multiple geographies/segments and lead team members on a project basis.Ability to plan and execute against both short and long-term goals tied to a broader vision.Ability to work with clients across boundaries and diverse business requirements.Leads cross-functional sourcing projects that meet client requirements.Assesses market conditions and develops procurement strategies to maximize value.Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends and conditions and understand how these affect suppliers, cost of goods/services, pricing, and the resulting impact to clients.Use market knowledge and data analysis to identify savings opportunities and contribute to a future pipeline of opportunities that meet specific targets.Utilize commodity specialists within the Business Units and elsewhere within sourcing for market knowledge and product expertise.Interact with and influence stakeholders across the business.Provide support to other territories as needed.Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and best practices.Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices and continuously improve professional skills and technical expertise.Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.Due to the seniority and maturity required for this position, it is expected that the Sr. Sourcing Specialists execute the assigned tasks with a high degree of independence. This includes relationship management with assigned Stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, as well as while project managing Sourcing initiatives or during annual or long-range planning discussions.The Sourcing Specialist will be accountable for contributing to the Annual Operating Plan and Sourcing execution for specific assigned projects.Experience and Professional Qualifications RequiredExperience in a multinational company, preferably in marketing, professional or general services, indirect procurement, in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Entertainment or similar industries.Minimum of 5 years experience purchasing services across a wide range of indirect spend categories in organization(s) with a strong record of procurement.Experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies and leading supplier negotiations.Experienced in applying market knowledge to sourcing projects to create extra value for stakeholders.Experience identifying stakeholder needs and developing solutions to address their needs.Demonstrable experience leading projects and driving them to conclusions against a backdrop of sometimes competing stakeholder interests and expectations.Experience of cross-border procurement would be desirable.Strong knowledge of procurement practices and sourcing/supply chain trends and dynamicsProfessional certification in Sourcing or Procurement is a plus.Skills RequiredFluent in English, Spanish and ItalianBachelor degree.Good understanding of finance processes and savings methodologies.Good understanding of legal aspects related to procurement contracts.Ability to analyze complex data and use this to develop sourcing opportunities.Ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders across multiple Lines of Business and multiple markets.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite.Knowledge of COUPA sourcing tools and PerAngusta is desirable.Knowledge of some of the strategic challenges facing the media and entertainment sector is desirable.
