The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.The Strategic Projects Coordinator will be instrumental in orchestrating the strategy and execution of high-impact scientific projects, managing and mentoring a dedicated team of Scientific Project Managers, and fostering robust international collaborations. Through strategic insight and effective project oversight, this role will contribute to the CRG's commitment to world-class research in the life sciences. The Coordinator will be expected to ensure seamless workflow within the Strategy and Funding (SaF) department and to lead the scouting and development of new collaborative research initiatives.This role is ideal for a senior professional with a strong background in life sciences and proven experience in leading diverse research projects and teams to success.The successful candidate shall:Oversee the management and progress of strategic projects within the SaF department.Supervise and mentor a team of Scientific Project Managers, ensuring professional development and project alignment with the relevant research goals.Identify and develop collaborative research proposals and coordinate submission and follow-up of funding applications.Actively participate in and manage the optimization of workflows within the SaF team and across other CRG departments, fostering efficient interdepartmental collaboration and process improvement.Engage in strategic planning with the Head of SaF to align departmental initiatives with CRG's overarching research strategy.Represent the CRG in scientific consortia, enhancing the institute's network and collaborative opportunities.Ensure the team's compliance with European and international project management standards and guidelines.Actively contribute to CRG's scientific community by participating in seminars, workshops, and other events.About the departmentThe SaF Department ( https://www.crg.eu/en/content/about-us/strategy-and-funding ) focuses on strengthening the international and interdisciplinary dimension of the CRG and create new opportunities in projects, funding and collaborations for the scientific community.
