Role Overview This Manager, Supply Chain, Planning and Business Analytics Manager position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with third parties partners and their products and creates/maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales & BD team. The Manager, Third Parties and Spain Packaging Operations is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization and responsible for forecast modeling. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing, and oversees, making sure (end-to-end) of all activities related to the manufacturing, packaging, and materials procurement (if needed) to get the products delivered and released our business. Will work jointly with the Logistics manager in all transportation activities and with QA in getting the product released timely to meet customers demand. The role is based in a highly sensitive, fast paced environment, demanding flexibility, and accuracy, while in compliance with International/Federal/State regulations Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function. • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. • Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers. • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning/sales. • Responsible of ordering and maintain safety stocks of all packaging materials (bottles, labels, PI,) for any of the products in which it will be required • Ensure items/services are received and invoiced correctly into ERP (Navision) • Ensure inventory in ERP matches what suppliers, CMO's, and third parties reconcile monthly • Maintain an active communication with manufacturers/packagers to ensure all products will be delivered/packaged on time • Responsible for resolving any shortages or discrepancies on received material with accounts payable/receiving specialist • Create statistical forecasts, gather, analyze and validate data, review resulting statistical forecast model, apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting, and summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts • Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process • Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion • Provide input to volume planning (Latest Estimates / annual process) • Facilitate and manage demand planning/supplier's meetings, achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process • Responsible for procuring materials required for production and packaging (API, Excipients, and packaging) • Responsible of negotiating pricing with vendors and packager, analyze quotes from existing and new vendors, evaluate existing vendors for service and reliability, collaborate with vendor other departments to qualify and approve new vendors, and manage optimum inventory. • Responsible for negotiating pricing with vendors and maintaining vendor pricing records as needed for analysis • Reviewing open purchase orders to reduce and or increase quantities as necessary • Responsible to ensuring that purchase orders are placed for components/raw materials to meet the launch dates of new products • Following SOP on regular basis to be in compliance • Completing all training assignments and maintaining personal training records • Provide supply chain with the appropriate information to plan how to meet that customer demand • Performing other duties as assigned • Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication • Refined models, systems, and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate demand needs. • Execute with excellence in the area of supplier replenishment and feedback to the Supply Chain group the opportunities and risks regarding customer replenishment performance metrics • Incorporates current and accurate market information that allows the company to correctly predict and anticipate any demand fluctuations. • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities •Excellent customer service and client relations skills • Keep organization and time management skills • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities • Great leadership and goal-setting skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Advanced data analysis and data visualization • Expert in inventory management • Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions Requirements and personal skills • Languages:Fluent in Spanish and English • Specific Knowledge: Gather, analyze, and validate data, execute statistical modeling software, review resulting statistical forecast model, apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting, summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts. Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy, monitor trends in forecast error, identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence. Facilitate and manage demand planning/customer meetings, achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain.
