Joining our Operations team, the Technical Area Manager will be responsible for all technical aspects relating to our key customers, survey of the complicated jobs and a key asset for the account manager to drive improvements together. The role will also be responsible for close contact with the installation and service managers to ensure the customer is always receiving a professional service. 
The position will report directly to the Project Manager and is available as a hybrid role, combining home working/head office working and site visits. 
 
Main responsibilities and tasks
• Sales Survey Training
• Engineer Installation Training
• Customer Conflict resolution
• Account Manager Technical Assistance
• BDM Technical Assistance
• Engineer Technical assistance
• Ensuring the Operations teams adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Writing and issuing RAMS/SSoW to Site teams ahead of Installations
• Creation and implementation of Lift Plans when required
• Creation and management of departmental KPI's
• Day to day management of customer expectations
• Building & maintaining relationships with Clients and Site teams
• Dealing with customer complaints/ issues
• Interdepartmental liaison - Procurement, service, production etc
• Post installation management - Ownership of Sites as a key stakeholder
• Providing programmes of works and deliver the project on time and within budget/scope"

Key working relationships (internal and external)
 
• As defined above-internally with key account managers, install and service management.
• Externally with site managers.
Person Profile: Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge and behaviours
• Proven experience in a similar management role
• IOSH or equivalent qualification
• SMSTS qualification
• A good understanding of PC hardware
• A good understanding of Installation of equipment into customer premises
• A good understanding of networking & routing
• Surveying and Durations of works
• Knowledge of Access Control Systems
• Able to produce and annotate drawings.

• Excellent communication with customers and internal stakeholders
• Credible technical knowledge
• Confident with customers
• Positive can-do attitude
• Experience of Biosite Products
