Endowed Professorship in Physical Therapy. Individuals with an outstanding research/ scholarly record who are committed to advancing the science and/or practice of physical therapy are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will conductresearch/scholarship,provide leadership, and provide mentorship that enriches the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training, the Doisy College of Health Sciences, and SLU.This is a tenured professor 9-month faculty position. A competitive total compensation package including recurring endowed funds, start- up funds, and a generous benefit plan are provided. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.There are presently 14 full-time faculty members in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, who engage in teaching, research/scholarship activities, and participate in service to the University, the profession, and the community. Consistent with the research goals of the College and University, faculty are committed to enhancing the Program's research profile via implementation of the Program's strategic plan.SLU is a Carnegie Research University (high research activity) and currently employs over 3,000 full and part-time faculty and enrolls more than 13,000 students in the graduate, professional, and undergraduate programs. The Program in Physical Therapy is housed in the Doisy College of Health Sciences. Faculty have access to classrooms and laboratories with state-of-the-art teaching and research technologies.
