We are currently seeking an experienced VFX SUPERVISOR to join our creative advertising team in our Barcelona office to work alongside our VFX Artists and other Leads to deliver high-quality vfx work for our clients.
As a Visual Effects Supervisor you will be responsible for the design and execution of visual effects work on a given project
You will:Lead and manage high profile and complex visual effects projects to deliver to creative expectations, deadline and budget.Determine production requirements and advise on best practices, available processes and budgets for all types of VFX projects.Collaborate with Art Director and Client to ensure the artistic style, quality and continuity matches vision and standardsManage and mentor the CG Artists on complex VFX projects, and co-ordinate their VFX output and ensure high levels of quality control, advise on their technique and provide feedback on work-in-progress.Proactively recommend ongoing pipeline improvements and developmentPrepare the visual effects productionAnticipate problems and present solutionsSupport the coordination team in order to maintain the pipeline's efficiency and allow the artists to achieve their production objectives and deadlinesIdentify additional tools necessary for productionSupervise VFX artists as needed, in coordination with the VFX Producer for given project;Oversee all aspects for body of FX shots throughout post from start to finishDelegate appropriate tasks to applicable artistsActively seek out new talent and help Heads of CG with recruiting new talent keeping an eye on possible gaps in the CG structureQualificationsAt least 3 years of experience as a VFX SupervisorExtensive knowledge of VFX ProductionKnowledge of 2D/3D Software (Maya, Nuke, Houdini…)Experience with pipeline management, data management and asset tracking softwareExcellent organizational and communication skills. Excellent aesthetic judgment. Emphatic to Directors vision you can give concise and constructive feedback to VFX crewDemonstrated leadership skills, confident with staff management dutiesMust be attentive to the production team, the other supervisors and the coordinatorsAbility to supervise and assign tasks to a production teamPrevious experience as a VFX Supervisor on setGreat organizational skills and ability to manage a very busy team, while meeting production timetables and budgetsEnglish is a must.
