Issuance of purchase orders based on internal requests. Review requests for new inventory items and set-up accordingly. Enter receipts. Process returns and/or transfer of inventory items. Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with external vendors and suppliers. Contribute to the development of short and long-range goals and objectives, ensuring that such plans support the goals, policies and vision of Action Electric. Analyze employee and branch usage of certain goods and services ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Review vendor invoices for pricing discrepancies and short shipments following through with the necessary corrections. Assist in the improvement of systems and processes striving to achieve best practices for purchasing. Receive shipments, verify goods, complete accurate and detailed paperwork, and enter materials into inventory software. Maintain accurate inventory count, audit semi-annually. Advise appropriate person(s) when stock has been received. Provide inventory information to internal stakeholders, including business development, sales, and engineering teams. Coordinate testing of returned materials with corresponding manufacturer and local Electricians and Technicians. Liaise with the Accounting team on a regular basis to ensure packing slips and invoices are received, and that RMAs are accurately processed and completed efficiently. Ship stock to other branch offices and customer sites as required. Work with the Project Management and Purchasing teams to ensure all project orders are complete for staging. Stage materials for electrician and technician pick-up, project installation, and delivery to customer sites. Monitor consumption of consumable items and maintain stock items. Maintain current knowledge about products, catalogue information, part numbers, and required operating stocks. Work with the Fleet Manager to ensure all technician vehicles are kept clean and safe operating conditions are maintained. Plan delivery schedule and route for delivery driver, act as back-up in event driver is unavailable. Load and unload goods and materials. Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, and vehicle mileage. Operate company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Report any incidents or problems encountered in a timely manner. Complete detailed and accurate documentation. Perform other tasks as required. QUALIFICATIONS:
