About the Role: An opportunity has arisen for an Events Manager position to join our Sales & Marketing Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa. The key duties of a Catering & Events Manager will include:Taking responsibility for the training, organisation and monitoring of staff Managing budgets and financial plans Taking responsibility for the conference centre, purchasing necessary equipment to operate and supervising maintenance and supplies Negotiating with external service providers and suppliers as required Researching markets to identify new business Join Sales Site Inspections as required in order to be involve from the first beginning on groups and social events Receiving groups files from Sales department making sure all the negotiation has been clearly specify Giving proper follow up to definitive groups and decide who will be the responsible of the planning and operation. Taking responsibility for the wedding promotion, sales and operation Communicating daily with the management team, planning work schedules and checking client requirements.
