Background
Consolidation will remain a key trend in oral healthcare and will continue to see practice consolidation with fewer solo practices and more mid-sized groups, specialty groups and large PE-backed Dental Service Organizations (DSO) with varying governance structures.
DSOs are the fastest growing segment in dentistry around the globe, driving implant and aligner penetration due to their increased spending power on patient marketing outreach and thus resulting higher treatment conversion.
The Global DSO organization of Straumann Group develops and fosters long-term business partnerships with large scale DSOs across the globe. It fully leverages our brands and services across all product segments (Implants, Bone regeneration, Digital, Orthodontics and Preventive) through winning business concepts and differentiated solutions and services to be the preferred partner of choice for DSOs.
Job purpose
An instrumental part of our DSO offering is learning and capability building. The T&E Manager will develop and organize the training and education initiatives that englobe the Straumann Group portfolio (Implant, Prosthetic, Ortho and Biomaterial solutions) to support the DSO business growth. As such, you will work closely with the brand HQs, country organizations and distributors, as well as external education partners. Additionally, you will be responsible to manage projects with cross team's stakeholders, partner institutes and Key Opinion Leaders. Lastly, you will closely with Enterprise Solution team, clinical team, and data development areas. This role requires planning, communication, evaluation, and improvement. This position reports to the Global Head of Enterprise Academy.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities Your role will include:
• Map and coordinate new educational projects with HQ and main stakeholders from the DSO Enterprise Team.
• You will prepare and coordinate the integration with DSO Regional teams how to implement and collect feedback from the global solutions.
• Following established curricula (both internal and external), you are responsible for the implementation of Customer Education programs for the Straumann Group portfolio.
• You will work closely with colleagues from global HQ and the regional team to coordinate trainings in relation to introduction of new products, solutions, or systems.
• In response to new product launches and system upgrades, you will work closely with colleagues from global HQ and the regional team.
• This includes budgeting, activity planning, implementation, and evaluation of all conducted Customer Education activities.
• Participating in building the strategy for Straumann`s learning landscape along with Learning Management System (LMS) courses, learning paths & training materials.
• Developing and updating continuously the training curriculum, and materials in correlation with the market structure, needs and evolution by including the relevant experts and stake holders.
• Managing and working with Education Coordinators to plan, track and support the education initiatives and activities, according to the guidance of the Clinical Affairs & Education team.
• Support and manage the accreditation process for the education provided in several countries.
• Working in collaboration with Clinical Affairs & Education team to provide the necessary training/education presentations, flyers, and education materials to the programs.
• Act as the gatekeeper for key speakers and KOLs as well as the interface to other regional T&E managers and HQ.
• Coach and monitor the implementation of yearly, quarterly, and monthly plan for all Customer Education activities with ROI measurement.
Education and work experience
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education)/ Master's degree preferred;
• 2 years+ experience in training and education environment.
• 3 years+ of experience in healthcare/medical device industry (Dental industry a plus).
• Prior work experience in supporting an enterprise learning environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with cross-functional team members and stakeholders in a problem-solving, constructive manner.
• Background in the dental or medical industry (preferred).
• Background in the dental corporations (preferred).
• Experience in setting up a course system for medical products.
• Experience to organize seminars, training courses or similar events.
• Create value propositions and engaging with marketing communications team.
• Research and analyze market data and competitive intelligence to communicate sales market opportunities.
• Project Management Skills (Project, Asana, Celoxis, etc) skills required.
• Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …) skills required.
• Fluency in English is a must. Additional languages may be an advantage (e.g., Spanish, French).
