ZeptoLab is seeking a talented and passionate Head of Client-Side to join our team in Barcelona.

The Head of Client-Side will play a critical role in the success of our future and current games by leading a team of passionate and skilled Unity Developers. This position is responsible for driving the motivation and performance of the Client-side Department as well as helping with code optimisation, architecture, and refactoring. The ideal candidate is a passionate technologist with a deep understanding of Unity, mobile game development and a proven track record of people management.
Responsibilities Lead and mentor a Client-side Department, providing technical guidance and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence; Drive Client-side Department strategy, OKR definition and staffing; Conduct 1:1 meetings with the Client-side team, drive motivation, provide tailored growth opportunities and foster high performance culture; Drive and promote knowledge sharing inside the Client-side Department; Identify areas of improvement in the teams and projects and promote good practices in development; Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and maintainability; Drive architectural decisions, promoting modularity, reusability, and maintainability; Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our products; When needed support teams with code optimisation, architecture, and refactoring. Requirements Strong team management skills and passion for growing and supporting others; Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Unity mobile games development; Deep understanding of multiplayer game development; Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns; Empathy and active listening skills combined with a strong business mindset; Excellent problem-solving and result-oriented mindset; Strong communication in English, Russian is a plus. Bonus points Previous experience in Core/Plaftorm common solutions for mobile games development; Professional experience with C++.
