As a senior member of Verisk's consulting and client services team based in London, you will provide services to our London and international insurance and reinsurance clients. Use your technical, analytical, and project management skills to work with clients to enhance their usage of the Verisk suite of solutions and help troubleshoot any software-related issues. You will work closely across the software development and product teams and may participate in research/model development projects.Proficiency in oral and written communication is essential, particularly the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively. Prior experience in catastrophe risk modelling is essential, ideally using Verisk's suite of catastrophe models.About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the RoleProvide day to day client support helping clients use Verisk's software platforms and understand Verisk's catastrophe models and their outputProvide training sessions to clients to help them understand and use Verisk software and modelsPerform sophisticated risk analyses using Verisk's cutting-edge technology for insurers, brokers, and other financial intermediaries in the internationally expanding business of catastrophe risk management including both natural catastrophe riskAdd value to modelled results through customisation of output tailored to the needs of clients, assisting with bespoke SQL coding to query resultsBe responsible, as the account manager, for allocated client's overall supportLead internal and client facing projects, responsible for scoping of projects, managing timelines and ensuring the accuracy and deadlines of deliverables are metThe above may include leading project onboarding new clients to VeriskCommunicate directly with clients to develop project timelines and manage deliverable expectationsHelp clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through interpretation of modelling resultsPerform portfolio management studies for determining growth strategies, developing scoring templates and risk metricsBe able to explain to clients our new NGM (Next Generation Modelling) framework and practically work through NGM change management projectsScope automation projects, assist clients with implementation of APIs and advise on optimal automated workflowsOption of line management responsibilities of internal teams of Risk ConsultantsQualifications About You and How You Can Excel in This RoleRequirements:Strong analytical and quantitative skills, a solid understanding of probability concepts, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to client services.Knowledge of Touchstone and /or Touchstone Re is essential. 3+ years of catastrophe modelling experience, ideally in the London MarketStrong statistical skills and working knowledge of catastrophe modelling financial engines and the application of insurance and reinsurance termsExcellent communication, time management and organisational skillsExperience using Microsoft Office is essential and knowledge and understanding of the insurance/ reinsurance markets is preferred.Ability to code in languages such as SQL, R and Python will be highly beneficial.
